Fitbit Data Access is a private tool used by a single person, its owner, to read the owner's own Fitbit data. This policy explains how that data is handled.
With the owner's consent, the app reads (read-only) the owner's Google Health / Fitbit data: steps, active zone minutes, sleep, resting heart rate, heart rate variability and body weight. The app never writes, changes or deletes data in the owner's Google Health account.
The data is used only to produce a short daily and weekly personal summary for the owner, comparing recent values with the owner's own baseline. It is not used for advertising, profiling, credit decisions or any other purpose.
Access tokens and a cache of daily values are stored on a private server controlled by the owner. They are not published and not accessible to anyone else.
Data is not sold, shared or transferred to third parties. A summary of numeric values may be processed by an AI assistant (Anthropic Claude) solely to write a one- or two-sentence comment for the owner. No other recipient receives the data.
The app's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
The owner can revoke access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions and delete the stored tokens and cache from the server.
